John Hartwein

Meet John Hartwein. John graduated with a degree in Finance from the University of Mississippi in 1992. After graduation, he returned home to Ft. Meyers and obtained a job with Blazer Financial Services, a finance company. Shorty after John moved to Tallahassee.

After working for Friedman's Jewelers as Credit Manager, John caught the finance-bug and began his career in lending. John spent a brief time in Collections with Friedman's, but repossessing engagement rings wasn't for him. He made the decision to focus only on lending.

In 1997, John joined North Florida Education Credit Union, now known as Envision Credit Union. Five years in the credit union industry, John opted to stick with the credit union philosophy of "people helping people" and made the move to Florida Commerce Credit Union in April 2001.

John began his career with FCCU as a Financial Services Officer assisting members at the Westside office. Working his way up, John became the Branch Manager for the Department of Education office. In October 2005, John became the Southside Branch Manager. In early 2010, his role was expanded to include the Branch Manager position at the DOE office as well.

With over 13 years in the financial industry, eight of those with Florida Commerce Credit Union, John is a valuable asset to the credit union.
